Work With Teens
I have extensive experience working with teens and their families. In addition to
those who I see in my private practice and through the parenting workshops I
run, I also have worked at Juvenile Hall with incarcerated young men ages 17-19
providing individual and group therapy services as well as psycho-education in
the areas of addiction, life transition and parenting. I also currently work for the
Irvine Unified School District offering counseling services to teens and their
families at a local high school.
Education:
I hold a masters degree in counseling psychology, an undergraduate degree in
psychology with a minor in addictive disorders and I am currently working to
complete my PhD in psychology.
What is a Marriage and Family Therapist:
Marriage and Family Therapists get specific training and experience working
with relationships and family issues. As a pre-licensed therapist, I will work with
you to increase your overall satisfaction in your life. This will include taking an
introspective look at your relationships, past and present, and determining the
areas of your life that are in need of attention. I will work with you in a person
centered way that will allow for the exploration of your thoughts, feelings,
needs and desires that are contributing to your overall well-being. I believe that
we all have the capacity to improve the quality of our own lives. I am here to help
you to design the life or the love that you deserve while helping you discover
your own potential for personal growth.
